Airport

Hagerstown Airport is a public airport located one mile south of the central business district of Hagerstown. It covers an area of 80 acres (32 ha) which contains one runway that has a turf surface and is sized at 4,000 x 200 ft (1,219 x 61 m). The airport is owned by the Town of Hagerstown and is controlled by Town Council with input from the Board of Aviation Commissioners. A member of Town Council acts as a liaison between the commissioners and Town Council

There are two very popular events held there every July. The American Legion sponsors the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration and a Flying Circus made up of an amazing collection of vintage aircraft appears every year on the third Tuesday of July.

It also serves as the practice area for local baseball and softball teams, an equestrian club and a competitive archery team as well as serving as a police training area.
